ANNUAL DRILL AT PRODEMAN INDUSTRIAL PLANT

The activity involved every area in the company and simulated two emergency scenarios. Local firefighters and EMEC took part in the activity

Focusing on prevention and continuous improvement, Prodeman carried out its annual evacuation and emergency drill at its General Cabrera plant. The activity, led by the Health and Safety department, involved over 250 people and aimed to strengthen internal protocols for potential critical situations.

During the day, two emergency scenarios were simulated: the high-altitude rescue of a person trapped inside a bucket elevator at Planta de Maní Confitería, and the response to a person who had fainted due to a possible intoxication at Planta de Maní Blancheado. Both situations were addressed in coordination with Bomberos Voluntarios (local firefighters) and the emergency medical team from EMEC, who played an active role in these operations.

“The goal of this drill is to measure response times, correct procedures, and train the whole staff for possible incidents that could happen within the plant,” said Elio Canonero, head of Prodeman’s Emergency Brigade.

The drill also included volunteer brigade members from different areas of Prodeman’s plant, who train throughout the year to respond to different types of emergencies.

This initiative is part of the Safe Operation pillar of Prodeman’s Sustainability Plan and reinforces the company’s commitment to safety, well-being of its team and operational excellence at every stage of the process.
